We interrupt this blog catch up game to bring you a miss Teagan update, which will be old news to some of you. The first, and most exciting news, is that Teagan is finally walking. Although she has been taking steps long before her birthday, it wasn't until just recently that she has been using walking as her means of transportation. I'm not sure if it's because she thought she could crawl faster to keep up with her big brother, or if her cloth diapers really do weigh her down as Nana believes. Either way, we couldn't be more excited! Owen is still impressed with his little sister and constantly says, "Good job Teagan, you're walking! Look Mama, she's walking!" Yes Owen, she does that now and soon she will be running after you.
The second bit of news is that Teagan, after winning the first kid to the ER race with her RSV at six weeks old, has now won the first kid to have stitches race! She is really making us proud with all of her accomplishments! Seriously though, she is doing fine, but now has a small scar across her forehead where she got three stitches. She routinely climbs on the rocker that Grumpa Bruce and Great Aunt Bev made for Owen and now her without problem, and turns herself around to sit. However, a couple of weeks ago she slipped and the edge of the rocker made a nice clean cut. Ironically, I took the pictures below just a day or two before the accident. Pictures of her new beauty mark to come in upcoming post.
