Happy Birthday Riley Rose!!!!

Although it was last week we were in Florida, today is actually Riley's birthday. Happy Birthday Rosers!!!!

After a long night of cake decorating, the boys woke up all smiles. Probably because they actually slept like babies. Here is Karen working on her masterpiece.

Below are pictures of Riley and Owen enjoying Riley's awesome birthday present. I know there are a lot of them, but I couldn't resist. The two of them had so much fun! Riley is a real driving machine and Owen sat there like a little man cruzin' with his arm hanging out and playing with the radio that actually works.

Our Trip to Florida... Surprise!

We decided to surprise my sister Karen and flew down to Florida for Riley's 3rd birthday! Plus we had never met baby Aidan. We had such a great time! Thanks Nana and Papa for the tickets! Here are some pics from the trip...


Here is a picture of Nana's helping hand in getting Owen ready for bed after a long day of flying. (Yes, that is a disposable diaper. After a long debate we decided not to risk having all of our cloth diapers lost if the luggage went missing. We'll see what happens on our next trip.)

Aunt Debbie drove up from Key West to hang out and celebrate Riley's birthday. It was so nice to see her!


Owen loved playing with his cousins. It was interesting to see him interact with Aidan, 4 months, and Riley, now 3 years old.

(Actually, he has been to the beach at Lake Michigan many times and he saw the ocean while in Sweden, but this was his first trip to the ocean in the US.)

Uncle Tommy also came over to spend some time with us. Owen had so much fun watching the waves and getting splashed by them.

Room 303

On Friday, Owen and I took Mike lunch to start off his month of being a Vegetarian. (Yes, that's right, Mike is going to try and be a vegetarian like me for a month.) Owen had a great time visiting with all the kids. At first they all gathered around him and he just sat there loving all the attention from the big kids. Then they had to get back to work and we stayed for a little bit. It was so cute to see him crawl over to one of their desks, pull himself up, and surprise them because he was standing at their side all of a sudden. I wish I had a picture of that. Next visit.
