Teagan Rolls For Earth Day!!!!
Earth Day was such a beautiful day that I had to leave work early to enjoy it with the kids and I am so glad that I did. I got home just in time to see Teagan roll over from her front to back for the first time. Then on Friday we were outside playing in the garden and Teagan, laying on a blanket in the shade, rolled over from her back to her front. So there you have it, she went from trying so hard to move at all to rolling over in both directions within three days. No pics to record either event, but I will try and get a video soon.

Easter Vacation
We spent Easter day with Mimi, Grumpa, and Great Grammy Helen. It was nice to just hang out and relax eating good food and enjoying some Spring weather finally. Owen was very excited about the Easter Bunny coming and he had a lot more fun coloring the eggs than I expected. The next day we went on a little road trip to the Berkshires in MA for our first ever family vacation with all four of us. It was so nice to get away and have some quality time together that didn't involve errands and laundry nagging at us.
These eggs were all done by Owen. He was very proud of them.
Then it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt!!!! Apparently the "Easter Bunny" didn't hide the eggs well enough because Owen found them all right away and then said, "Mama, the Easter Bunny must not have known what a big kid I am now, because he didn't hide them very hard."
So I re-hid them and we looked for them all over again, and then again, and again.
Teagan had a wonderful day too, just being her happy self. In the morning she took a bath in Mimi's sink and then fell asleep as soon as I put her in her Easter dress, which was the one my friend Nancy Rafi had made for her. We had every intention of all of us dressing up and taking a nice family photo, but you know how that goes.
Then is was off to the Berkshires...
We arrived Monday afternoon, unloaded our stuff into our condo, and headed for the pool.
Teagan took a quick dip, but it was too cold for her so I quickly changed her and then she quickly passed out. So no pics of her cuteness in a bathing suit, but there is plenty of warm days coming for that.
Tuesday morning we went to a small working farm, called Cricket Creek Farm , where you could wonder around yourself and then visit their little store that worked on the honor system. It reminded me a lot of a Swedish farm. Owen enjoyed seeing all of the animals and then of course made friends with a little boy who was also staying at our resort. Mike and I enjoyed buying fresh eggs and CHEESE!

This calf that Owen is petting still had its umbilical cord attached.
Then it was home for a cookout on the grill while Owen played at the playground, more swimming, and then everyone passing out while watching a movie.
Wednesday we decided to go for a little drive to Amherst to the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Before we left we gave Teagan her first try of solids with some yummy rice cereal. As you can see, she wasn't very impressed. I think we will wait a week or so and try again.
The museum was awesome, or at least I thought it was since I am obsessed with Eric Carle. Although the boys didn't love looking at the art as much as I did, they did have fun in the activity room, library, and on the grounds.
You weren't allowed to take pictures of the artwork, understandably, but I did take a picture of this self portrait that was a poster hanging in the activity room.

On our way back we stopped at the Opa-Opa Brewery for Mike. It was only fair since I got to go to the museum.
As you can see, he was very excited for his tasting, and Owen and I were excited for some cheese!
Thursday morning we went to Hancock Shaker Village. It was beautifully landscaped, full of original Shaker structures and furniture, and a plethera of new life from piglets and calves to baby ducks. We all had a great time including Teagan who gave a few squeels of her own when seeing the piglets.
Then it was back to the condo for another cookout at the playground. In the background you see the ski resort Jiminy Peak. We stayed across the street at Vacation Villages, which was very nice. Thank you again Nana and Papa for trading a timeshare week for us!
After playing at the playground and loosing a kite to the wind, we met some of our friends, the Weigands, for dinner and then icecream stand. Then we went back to Brian Weigand's parents' house for a little Wii action, which I should have taken pictures of. I'm still not sure who was better at batting, Mike or Owen.
Because Friday was our last day, we decided to lay low and explore the resort. We went for a hike in the woods, played on the playground, and of course went swimming.
Saturday we packed up our things and headed back to the Willard's to get Diesel, after stopping for a little outlet shopping along the way though. The drive back through the mountains was amazing. The entire trip was a sight to see with beautiful landscapes, architecture, perfect weather, and good old family fun. We couldn't have asked for anything more!!!!
