No, that is not an optical illusion. The lobster really is longer than Teagan.

The claw is bigger than Doug's foot.

After dinner we relaxed around a fire and caught up, while Owen built a "spaceship". What a great way to celebrate our anniversary.
The next day was a little rainy, so we decided to head up to Fitchburg so Doug could see the property and visit with the Willards.
I'm not sure if I've posted pics of the large pond that Bruce dug out, but it is amazing. The water to fill it comes down from the apple orchard.

This copper ball is actually a pendant light that was discontinued from work, so I gave it to Angela to put in her garden. I love the way it reflects the house and their beautiful gardens.

Mike is showing Doug the barn Bruce built for Moonbeam. It has two stalls, a tackle room, and storage above too. What a talented father in law I have!
Jill and Izzy joined us the next day. It was so nice to finally meet Izzy and of course to see Jill again. We have really missed them. It was also nice to have them be at our house and see where we live now, because they were such an important part of our everyday lives in Chicago. Pretty much as soon as the girls arrived, we packed up the kids and headed to the playground.
Izabelle meeting her Uncle Mike for the first time, which is still hard to believe.
Teagan making her scrunched up nose face.
Back at home, Izzy had a good time riding Owen's big wheel.
Two old friends turning grey.
We tried to cool off hanging out in the shade in front with popsicles.
Teagan loves her Uncle Doug.
After a long day of playing, the kids took a bath and settled down for the night. Then we had Amanda come so the adults could go out to play some more.
Oh, the classic bath picture that will taunt them when they are older.
We went to the Blue Grotto on "the hill" for restaurant week. The food was delicious, but the company was even better...
...just like old times.
After dinner we went to Trinity Brewhouse to try some local microbrews.
I had left my camera at the Willards, and Jill's had fallen in some water earlier in their trip, so we used an old one her dad had. We decided to play around with it. It was really funny, especially because we couldn't see the pictures until they were downloaded on the computer.
The one below is a picture Jill took and then she wrote her name with the camera really big.
The one below is the opposite. I took a picture and then started to write my name. You can kind of see the J. Good times.
The next day we just hung out together and then Dave Porter came in town for dinner.
Thanks for coming to visit. We wish it could have been longer, and miss you guys already!
