4 YEARS OLD

It's hard to believe that Owen is 4 years old when looking at these pictures from when he was around four months old.  Although sometimes we might think it was easier then, there is no way we would want to turn back time.  Our Big O has developed into an amazing creature.  He has such an incredible and expressive imagination that he displays through hours of role play, his imaginary friend Turner (who lately comes and goes), and his detailed story telling.  His role play mostly consists of Star Wars, with the occasional pirate, superhero, "babies", or some crazy off the wall idea.  He likes to sing silly songs that he makes up in the car or when he doesn't know you are listening.  He loves being a big brother and takes this responsibility very seriously, occasionally needing to be told that Teagan can take care of herself.  He still loves to cuddle and is very affectionate.  Like most parents, I can't believe the things he comes up with sometimes and the interesting conversations that only we can have.  He only wants to wear his "fast shoes", sneakers, and can't wait until the weather is nice so that he can try riding his bike without training wheels again.  He wants to race Daddy he said.  He likes to help when I bake and do yard work.  You can get him to do just about anything if you make it into a race.  Owen loves to play computer games with Daddy or by himself, and it still amazes me every time he sits down at the computer and pulls up Firefox and knows exactly where to go and what to do without any help.  He is all the those things parents usually list when describing their child, fun, funny, smart, loving, generous, caring, and then SO MUCH MORE!!!!

And we can't forget to say Happy Birthday to Grumpa Bruce too!  It is only fitting that Owen shares his birthday with someone so special.
