Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Owen has now been to his fourth foreign country, Mexico. We just visited our timeshare at Pueblo Bonito, Sunset Beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for the first time. Thank you Nana and Papa!!!! What a beautiful place and incredible gift!

Here is my attempt to show you the panoramic view of the resort. Owen loved riding on the carts that take you along all the winding paths.

Throughout the resort they have different birds and fish ponds. I think Owen liked the parrots the best, but he did laugh at the flamingos too.

We wasted no time getting to the pool as soon as we arrived. Owen loved the water and had no problems, even when we took him under.

Then Nana, Papa, Aunt 'Kika', Uncle Jeff, Riley, and Aidan arrived and we headed off to another pool.

Here are Aunt Kika and Riley swimming in a kind of lazy river. Riley loved going around and around. She is such a good swimmer! Good job swimming under water Rosers!

We decided it was time we ventured outside of our little oasis of paradise, so we headed off on a roadtrip to Todos Santos.

Here we all are having lunch at the famous Hotel California.
As you can see we all had a great time.

Baby Aidan, smiling as usual.

We bought Owen and Riley some maracas. As you can imagine they had a blast with them.

On our way back, in true "Gris-Wyllie" fashion, we had some adventures. Here is Mike standing next to a very tall cactus that Papa Jim took us to down a very scary road in the middle of the desert. If the car rental company only knew...

Then for the next adventure we stopped at a place called "Art & Beer", owned by two self-proclaimed hippies who set up shop where their bus broke down ten years ago.

Here is Mama with her "Mermaid Kiss" drink. It was an interesting mixture, but nothing compared to what Daddy had to eat.

The owners of Art & Beer kindly gave us a little tasty treat of raw clams on the half shell, which were seasoned with tabasco and soy sauce. When given something by your host, you have to try at least one bite, but since no one else was about to do it, Mike had to eat two! Way to take one for the team!

Owen sleeping in the car on the way back after all the excitement; still holding on to the maracas.

Mama and Papa went scuba diving twice on the trip. It was gorgeous, but cold. Here we are in our wetsuits and the dive shop is in the far background. We saw some amazing things as usual when scuba diving, and also swam with sea lions. Unfortunately our underwater camera cracked under pressure, literally.

Here is a picture from the dive boat on our way to the second location. This is in the Sea of Cortez. We dove along the wall of the rock formations on the left.

Back at 'home' it was time for more fun in the sun at the pool!

This is a little tent that we brought to have some time in the shade. It served its purpose well. Owen thought it was really funny and laughed hysterically when he first went in it.

Then they had a little surprise party for Owen since they weren't able to make it to his first birthday party.

Owen loves big kids and is mesmorized by them whenever he sees one. He was in heaven playing with Riley all week and having his own personal "big kid" to follow.

The timeshare that we have is on the Pacific side of the island. They also have a sister resort on the Sea of Cortez side, which we visited. Here is Riley playing with the fountain by the pool there, and Uncle Jeff with cousin Aidan on the beach.

We had such an amazing time and did not want to come home. We can't thank Nana and Papa enough!!!!
