First Day of School

Every year we take a picture of Mike the first day of school. This is a tradition we started when we first got Diesel. It has been fun to see how both Mike and Diesel have changed from year to year, and then Owen has been added making the tradition even more meaningful. This year is special because it is the first time we are taking it in front of our house. It is also special because tomorrow is Mike's birthday.

For Mike's birthday we got a new basketball hoop. We normally wouldn't be able to afford this monstrous basketball hoop, but his school moved and they were getting rid of it. Mike was very happy to take it off of their hands!

You should have seen all the neighbors out yesterday as the boys erected the pole and hung the back-board. They were already wondering what was going on when Mike dug a huge hole in our yard and filled a trash barrel with cement last week. Oh boy!
