The Providence Friars

Mike's school, formerly CVS Highlander, is partially funded by the company CVS that most people are familiar with having pharmacies across the country. Well, last week they gave Mike tickets to their box at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence to see the Providence College Friars play DePaul. So along with two other teachers, we took players from the eighth grade basketball team that Mike coaches. We also had enough tickets for Pat and Riley to join us. The box was very nice and Owen had so much fun interacting with all the older boys. This was actually Owen's second DePaul game, because Mike and I had taken him to see them play Kansas when he was around three months old. We all had a great time. Thanks CVS!

This is looking into the box, where Mike had to check the status of the Celtics game of course.

These are two younger brothers of players that Owen had fun playing with. Jamille is in second grade and Jordan is in first. They were really good with him and he loved following them around the box.

Not quite sure what this face is all about. Owen kept yelling whenever the crowd did. It was too funny! He would yell, "Ohhhh!", "Oh no!", "Oh man!", and "Yes!" as if he understood what was going on in the game. Although he very well could considering he has been watching basketball since birth, literally. I'm not kidding either. I was watching March Madness, the NCAA college basketball tournament in case you didn't know, while in the hospital room during labor.
